My group tried a few different things. The cheesy burger wasn't great, the 'cheese' sauce was rather peculiar and the burger a bit dry. The 'pulled pork' was better, had some nice flavor. The fries with sauces were okay. The burgers were €10.70 each, a large fries was €5.60. Cool space but I didn't love the food.

Tasty burger, poutine & salad - Edit
Very cool all vegan spot with a nice vibe. The burgers we tryed (cheesy, cryspy tempeh, BBQ, pulled setan & Magic mushroom) were tasty and original. We are from Québec and even if the poutine dosen't tasted like poutine at all, it was very good and interesting. The cesar salad is really good too. The service was good and fast.

I was skeptic if the pouting fries, but happily surprised of the flavor! Very good cheezy sauce. Also tried the kimchi fries and the kimchi was surprisingly mild taste. I prefer spicy but it's mild probably for a good reason. In both cases fries were soft and not crispy.

I just love everything about the Neue Republik. The burgers and fries are super yummy (as well as the cakes and drinks). I love coming here because atmosphere is so chilled and the restaurant isn’t touristy.

Charmantes Restaurant, bei dem sogar der kleine Salat hübsch angerichtet ist und lecker schmeckt. Curryvurst top, Poutin etwas fettig, aber auch mit lecker selbstgemachtem Hefeschmelz. Nice!

Food was good and drinks were really nice too. Seating and service were a bit uncomfortable each. Unfortunately the poutine is made with a nacho cheese type of sauce and not curds but was still really unique and worth the try. Not the best burger place I’ve ever been to but can still recommend! Book in advance though, it’s difficult to get reservation and you can’t reserve on the phone.

Burgers, Fries, Salad, Cake, Sauces; all of this was so delicious. I also liked the interior. They had some techno music which i always love to hear but it was a bit too loud for my mom lol. The staff was very friendly but slow.

Poorly described menu - Edit
The menu (available in German only) does a poor job in describing the different dishes. I asked for a burger without tomato due to allergy, but got one with ketchup (since ketchup wasn't in the description I didn't ask for it to be omitted). My boyfriend ordered poutine, which was covered in mayo and ketchup (he hates both of those condiments) but didn't mention those ingredients on the menu. The cheese sauce was frankly the worst thing on my burger, among the worst cheese I've tried during 6 years of being vegan. If you have any allergies or dislikes in terms of food, ask very carefully before ordering here.

To make you feel comfortable you have to be a little more specific about your needs. we are quite good in reading the wishes of our customers, but its not working all the time. We are sorry that the cheezy wasnt corresponding with your taste, but its by far the most sold and loves sauce we have. That place have nice atmosphere, relaxed. Colourful and good for meeting with friends.
