I went there several times even though I prefer the one at de pijp as that is less busy. Here you might have to queue in front of the store for a while until you get a table. Food is the same (very delicious and various vegan fast food).

We love VJFB! Started with Flamboyant “Shrimps” - crunchy outside and a firm texture inside with excellent sauce. He had a Happi Ribs burger and I had the Fizz (fish-like filet) burger , and of course fries! Everything was delicious. I also tried the VJFB Unicorn weizen, which was excellent. Fun atmosphere, great service and value.

Ordered Daddy burger with pink truffle sauce, definitely worth it. Crunchy form of hamburger was delicious. Portion was big, so I think one hamburger is def enough for one person.

The burger was okay, but nothing special. Fries were dry and hard, the worst fries I have ever had in Amsterdam. Sauce or ketchup for fries must be ordered separately. The service unfortunately nearly ignored me. I wanted to order one more drink and a dessert, but nobody looked after me or put away the tablet. So I took my drinks at the hotel bar later.

Read moreThere was a huge range to choose from. We got the Sumo Platter to taste their sharing options and two lots of loaded fries but nothing was super memorable 😅 The staff seemed quite unhappy and just didn’t want to be there.

Honors its name - Edit
This food chain definitely honors its name: it's vegan and its junk food. The grease drips from your elbows. Which is super nice, when you're in the mood for it. They have very special dishes with colorful burgers.

Since it's a chain you can expect pretty much the same at every VJFB. So this one too, just like the one in Rotterdam, serves very tasty meals.

I visited this location June 2023 so there might have been menu changes since then.
I ordered the ceasar salad which tasted great, though it did not fill me up enough and I ended up ordering a mini burger after which I was satisfied. Food was well made and tasted great. Can highly recommend if you feel like snacking on some delicious vegan junkfood!

the chicken nuggets and the betterbals with the sweet potatoes fries kapsalon were the best… we tried to go as healthy as possible since we are on a WFPB-diet (SOS FREE), but we like to break the rules a couple of times in a year to enjoy ourselves… highly recommend, just stock up on a tons of fruits and anti-oxidant foods and green tea to counter the potential bad health side effects of eating junk food
